The Art Hags was a socially engaged artist collective that used public, social, and confrontational interventions to examine the conditions shaping women’s artistic labor. The work interrogated structures of authority and ownership, challenged institutional and social boundaries, and made visible the often-unrecognized emotional and social labor of women artists.
