Sage Ni'Ja Whitson's Revival_Revival 

Revival_Revival is a Black trans processional conceived and led by artist Sage Ni’Ja Whitson in Santa Barbara, California. The procession, anchored by historic Black churches, honors and remembers trans community members through music, movement, and ritual. Inspired by Whitson’s vision, I developed a visual identity drawing on the visual language of brass instruments and West African symbolism carried across the African diaspora to communicate the project’s spirit of remembrance, cultural continuity, and collective gathering.
